Castleknock Celtic’s Executive and members are delighted having been awarded a Sports Capital Grant of €110,000 in the latest round of grants announced by Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, and Minister of State for the Gaeltacht and Sport, Jack Chambers TD. The club expressed its huge thanks to all its local representatives, for their support, including Tanaiste Leo Varadkar, Ministers Jack Chambers & Roderic O’Gorman, and councillors. The grant will help to finance (i) Laurel Lodge all weather pitch upgrade incl. carpet replacement, (ii) their clubhouse utilities energy-efficiency project, and (iii) the acquisition of new equipment for their 55 teams. All these, along with the installation of the all weather pitch in Porterstown Park where the club will be anchor tenants, will ensure a lively debate at the club’s AGM next month, discussing the pathway forward for the club in 2022 and beyond. It takes place in the St Mochta’s RC Church Parochial Hall on 7th March to which all are welcome.
