Hi to our CCFC Managers, Coaches, Members, Parents & Players

Our Club annual Mini World Cup is once again on the horizon starting next week, Tuesday June 17th.

We are now in our 16th year and our festival of football is on everyone’s must-do calendar. The Mini World Cup has and remains a non-profit event with all revenues generated used to secure gifts for all the children. While not a Club fundraiser, we have been fortunate in recent years to generate a surplus via our barbeque which along with donations from our Club has allowed us to support deserving charities resulting in sizable donations to the Ukraine Charity, delivering Medical Supplies, cancer research, and local Charities.

This year we hope to again deliver and be in a position to support St Francis Hospice. This is our local Dublin 15 Hospice who not only provide respite and care to those in need but also provide comfort to the families of those in care or who have passed. It is such a vital service and the carers do what we cannot do – they are heroes.

So what are we asking? To spread the word and support this worthy charity. If you can come down, support the Mini World Cup, buy a Burger or a Hot Dog or even a mineral and if nothing tickles your fancy, maybe, if funds allow, make a donation in the donations box or buy a raffle ticket. There will also be an arts & crafts fair, which is helping add to the Hospice fundraising, with local businesses there on Finals Day on Saturday 21st which would welcome your support.

To get the ball rolling, our Club will once again support our local Hospice, and to increase awareness will give a donation for every goal scored during the week.

So there you have it….the Mini World Cup is here. Here’s to good weather, fun and football for the kids and a feel good factor supporting such a worthy cause.

On behalf of our Club and all the Mini World Cup organisers, thank you as ever for your support and let the fun begin.

Kind regards,
David H, Christian & David C
